Who are we
Atheer Cultural Center was founded in 2022 to provide solutions for the lack of education and art scenes in the region, delivering workshops and events.
We are a team of teachers and instructors with backgrounds in art and cinema, mostly graduates of art schools in Jerusalem, who are looking to make a change in the city. We prioritize hiring graduates who are seeking jobs that allow them to make a positive impact.
Around 80% of children in East Jerusalem live below the poverty line, facing educational, social, and emotional challenges. At the same time, youth spend an average of four hours daily on their phones, mainly on social media, which impacts mental health and behavior.
We respond through workshops on positive and responsible social media use, critical thinking, and guided debate sessions. Our programs also include mental health support, empowerment , and leadership skills, helping youth build resilience and a stronger future.

What we do

Our vision
We aim to help and cont ribute to the lives of the youth and people of Jerusalem, allowing them to express their feelings. Our goal is to provide the necessary tools for them to feel empowered and to give them a stage to be he ard and seen. We utilize media, cinema, and art as tools to support our society, addressing the lack of outlets for expression and the need for guidance.

"Any form of art is a form of power; it has influence, it can affect change – it can not only move us, but make us move."
