Our Project

Our work spans digital media, film, and community arts all designed to amplify unheard voices and spark social change. From viral web programs tackling taboo issues in Arabic society, to podcasts on mental health and women’s rights, to documentaries co-created with people with disabilities, our projects open space for dialogue and inclusion. We highlight changemakers through short films, empower at-risk youth in East Jerusalem with creative skills, and use media as a bridge for visibility, resilience, and positive impact.

Youth Film Festival

2026

The program has grown significantly over the years. It began with five schools, each producing and screening a short film, and all participating schools requested that the program continue for another year. In 2025, five schools took part in the festival, and preparations are underway to expand the program to twelve schools in 2026.

This year-long program engages students aged 16 and 17 in creating drama films that address important social issues. Under the professional supervision of Benjamin Freidenberg from the Sam Spiegel Film & Television School, students learn every stage of filmmaking, including scriptwriting, acting, cinematography, and editing.

The 2026 festival was held in June and was a great success. More than 200 students, teachers, and guests attended the event to watch the films created by the participants. The festival provided an inspiring platform for young filmmakers from East Jerusalem to showcase their work, celebrate their achievements, and engage with cinema as a tool for creative expression and social change.

2025

The program began with five schools in East Jerusalem, each producing and screening a different short film. The initiative was directed and managed by Husam Abu Diab. Following the screenings, all five schools expressed their enthusiasm for the program and requested its continuation for another year.
